0% commission on Ultra

Ultra members pay no commission on fixed-price and hourly contracts. Drop-Ins and Dedicated Hires carry a flat rate.

Funded before you start

The client commits the money into escrow first, so you are never working against an unfunded promise.

Same bids, any budget

A $200 job and a $20,000 job cost the same number of bids. Nobody can pay to be listed above you.

Questions freelancers ask

Applying for work

How much does it cost to apply for a job?
The same number of bids whatever the budget. Each job type has its own cost, shown on the pricing page and before you apply. There are no paid boosts, so nobody can outspend you for placement.
Do I pay commission on what I earn?
Ultra members pay 0% on fixed-price and hourly contracts. Without Ultra a standard rate applies, shown before you apply. Drop-In sales and Dedicated Hires have their own flat rate.
How do I know the client can actually pay?
Every milestone is funded into escrow before work starts. The money has already left the client's account and is held until you deliver and they approve, so a budget on Open Lance is committed rather than promised.
When do I get paid after finishing a milestone?
When the client approves it, payment moves to your wallet. It then clears for a short period before you can withdraw it.
Is my profile public?
No. We list work, not people. Your freelancer profile stays private and clients reach you through your proposals and invitations rather than a public directory you have to keep polished.
Do I need an account to browse jobs?
No. Anyone can read the open jobs on this page. You need a free account only when you want to submit a proposal.
